Backpacking Unit quarters

Backpacking campers stay in tents that they carry with them.

Platform Tent

Platform tent units have 6-8 platform tents in each unit. Each tent houses 4 campers. Campers sleep on cots with mattresses.

Kitchen Shelter

Each unit has a kitchen shelter which is the central meeting area for the campers. It includes a picnic tables, lights, cooking equipment and a refrigerator.

Dining Hall

The dining hall is the central location in camp. Nutritious and tasty meals are served family-style. Campers from all over camp dine together providing an opportunity to meet new friends.

Outdoor Cooking

Each unit cooks out at least once during their stay at camp.

Glen Shelters

Glen shelters are the newest housing at camp. Each glen shelter sleeps 6 girls on cots and mattresses.

Bath houses

Showers and flush toilets are in 2 central locations in camp as well as at the pool.

Wagon Wheel

Wagon Wheel is where Arts & Crafts takes place.

Adirondacks

Adirondacks are small cabins that have 4 built in bunks. There is one unit of adirondacks at camp.

Archery

Archery is a favorite activity for campers. This activity is reserved for girls Junior age and above (4th grade and up).

Swimming

The pool is a favorite spot during the hot summer days. Weather permitting - campers swim at least once a day.

Canoeing

Since Butterworth is located above the Little Miami river, groups often go canoeing down the river.

Horseback Riding

Although we have no horses at our camp, we take several groups off-site to another camp to go horseback riding.
