Camp Ladigrau

Osgood, IN

 

Camp Ladigrau, located in Osgood Indiana derives its name from the surrounding towns:  Lawrenceburg, Dillsboro, Greendale and Aurora.  74 acres of wooded hillsides and a 2.5 acres lake offer a variety of options from tent camping to canoeing.  Mary T. Schloss lodge which overlooks the lake is a perfect place for a fall or winter campout.

 

Property Information

Whether it's camping in platform tents, adirondacks or  the lodge, or swimming or paddling on the lake - Camp Ladigrau has something for everyone.  Open fields, trails and woods are used for troop camping, and council sponsored events. For troop camping, groups plan their own activities while enjoying the natural surroundings.  Council sponsored events are planned program opportunities for individuals or groups to interact with other Girl Scouts.

Day use, workshops, lodge or tent camping, special events, service unit camp-outs and summer program opportunities.

Resource Center at Little House

 

The resource center houses several program kits featuring aquatics which contain multiple lesson plans and all of the required supplies.  Activities vary by age level, time constraints, materials needed, and the skills taught. Lake Rosemary

 

2.5 acre lake with swimming area, docks, canoes and fishing. Hiking trail circles the lake.

Fishing

 

A limited amount of fishing equipment is available at the camp, or you can bring your own.  Contact the ranger to arrange the use of the equipment.  Catch and release fishing only.

Swimming

The lake has a dock system that creates a swimming area separate from the boating area.  All users must pre-register to use the lake and pay an additional fee.  Proof of lifeguard must be shown to the ranger upon arrival at camp.

Canoeing

There are 12 canoes, paddles and life jackets available at camp.  All users must pre-register to use the lake and boating equipment and pay an additional fee.  Proof of lifeguard and canoeing certification must be shown to the ranger upon arrival at camp.

Nature Trail

The nature trail circles the lake.  A guide is available  at camp that identifies many of the nature items along the trail.
